Hypnotherapy utilizes the power of the subconscious mind, to explore the psyche and to change our thoughts, feelings and behavior. There is nothing extraordinary about hypnosis. “Trance” is just a state of focused attention that we all go in and out of all the time.

There are many different branches to clinical hypnotherapy, which is commonly used alongside, mindfulness, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), regression therapy, NLP (neuro linguistic programming) and SFBT (solution focused brief therapy).  


The process itself aims to alter our state of consciousness in a way that relaxes the conscious part of the mind while simultaneously stimulating and focusing the subconscious part. This heightened state of awareness - reached using skilled relaxation techniques - allows the therapist to work with the subconscious mind and make appropriate suggestions.

It is a perfectly natural condition which, when harnessed, can release hidden potential to improve life. Perhaps the best-known therapeutic uses are for stopping smoking and losing weight. However, there are countless other applications where it can be of very great benefit. These include:
